A city's class tensions threaten to boil over in French playwright Samuel Gallet's acclaimed Communiqué No. 10. Inspired by the 2005 Paris riots led by North African youth, this poetic drama follows Hassan, an immigrant who vows vengeance after his younger brother is killed in a confrontation with a security guard. Soon the city is engulfed by riots, leaving its various citizens to struggle to make sense of the chaos. Cutting Ball co-founder Rob Melrose (Woyzeck, No Exit) translated and directs this timely drama, which tackles the hot-button issues of immigration and growing income inequality.

I took BART, from which it is a short 4 min. walk. I'd leave a half hour before you think you have to if you've never been because you may end up on Eddy st at the Exit Theater admin office which you will ring a bell and a gentleman will then answer the door and instruct you to walk around the corner to Taylor St where the actual play is happening.star this tip starred
