Went with a group of women friends and had a ball. There was more joy and energy in that room...well worth the money and the time!!!Written on Jun 22 2009

The SHIRELLES music is alive and sounding fine! With one of the original group keeping their music out there for all to enjoy! The replacements singers added their own special talents highlighted by a program of music of the '60s and the many singers that made that era so memorable. The 1.5 hour show never let up with great pacing supported by fine musicains/arrangements. Unfortunately, the speaker system at THE RRAZZ ROOM continues to be too loud and, at times, poorly balanced, but that did not deter from a fun evening of reflections by three very talented women who clearly enjoy rockin' & rollin'! So, did the packed audience!Written on Aug 25 2008

Very classy performers, really brought back the Sixties for me. Ms. Lee is an inspired and inspiring performer, and the two new Shirelles are magnificent as well. They promise to be back next year, and if they do, I will be back as well.Written on Jun 22 2009
Rrazz Room staff were also exceptionally nice and I would come here again for a special evening anytime. Even with the Goldstar pricing, however, this venue is, while certainly not overpriced for comparable experiences, pricey, so be aware.

A stunning evening! Beverly Lee and company were flawless. The show was an event I'll never forget. The Shirelles brought you back to a time where life was less complicated, and they did it in stunning fashion.Written on Aug 25 2008
The band was great. The atmosphere of the Razz Room of the Hotel Nikko
was that of exciting nostalgia and class! Thanks again to Beverly and company! She's truly a Rock N Roll Diva that can still deliver the knockout performance 50 years after the conception of her group! Five star show!

Description

Few performers can truly be called trendsetters. Fewer still can sustain a high-visibility presence in the pop culture consciousness for over 40 years. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, The Shirelles have done these things and more. They have earned their exalted place in modern musical history.

Beginning in 1958 as schoolgirls in Passaic, New Jersey, The Shirelles quickly became rock & roll's first female supergroup and were the inspirations for a legion of female groups that followed.

They are universally credited as the originators of the Girl Group Sound that is so beloved by the Baby Boomer generation. Their long string of hits, including Soldier Boy, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Dedicated To The One I Love, Mama Said, and so many others, have been recorded by hundreds of artists, including The Beatles, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton & The Yardbirds, The Mamas & the Papas, Bernadette Peters and Smokey Robinson.
