Stars of MTV's hit comedy series Girl Code Jessimae Peluso and Carly Aquilino trade the small screen for the big stage for this evening of stand-up. Described as "a bottle rocket with a pulse," Jessimae Peluso is a dynamic performer who riffs on everything from her fear of children to her infatuation with John Stamos to her inability to talk dirty with her Syracuse accent. In addition to TV appearances on E!'s Chelsea Lately, MTV's Girl Code and Failosophy, Peluso was named one of the funniest comics to follow on Twitter by The Huffington Post. She's joined by her Girl Code co-star Carly Aquilino, a New York native with a razor-sharp wit who's quickly rising in the comedy scene, performing regularly at The Stand Comedy Club in New York City. There will be the scathing, biting humor of Marc Maron, former co-host of “Morning Sedition” on Air America Radio. Maron is known for his incisive cultural and political commentary, mystical ruminations, and neurotic insights into human nature. Marc has appeared on just about every TV show that will allow comics, from “The Late Show with David Letterman” to “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” where he is a special favorite.
Featuring Doug Benson, one of the stars from the hit Broadway play "The Marijuana-Logues.” Doug appears on numerous television shows, including “The Late Late Show” and “Premium Blend.” As an actor you may have seen him on “Friends” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Also playing is Ngaio Bealum, runner up in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He has appeared on MTV, Comedy Central, BET’s “Comic View" and Comedy Central’s “The Sarah Silverman Show.”
The THC Comedy Tour also serves as a benefit for NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Legislation), with a portion of the proceeds going to this charity (Friday and Saturday night). Thursday’s show will benefit Americans for Safe Access, which works on a local and national level to ensure patients’ right to medical cannabis.
