Liss Fain Dance, San Francisco's own acclaimed contemporary company, premieres the latest in its signature series of performance installations, The Imperfect Is Our Paradise, inspired by William Faulkner's stream-of-consciousness novel The Sound and the Fury. Fain's innovative productions provide a new kind of interactive arts experience, as the audience can choose to either stay seated or move around and check out the set, sound environment and dancers from a variety of different viewpoints. This new work by Fain and composer Dan Wool delves into the evolution of relationships through solo, duo and group dances, while incorporating text from Faulkner's book as part of the rhythmic landscape.
