In a world of overnight sensations, jazz vocalist Tierney Sutton’s success has developed over time. A decision in the mid-1990s to move to Southern California from her New England home resulted in a decade-long collaboration with her current bandmates and five critically acclaimed CDs for the Telarc label. Sutton’s voice has also been featured in the hit films The Cooler and Twisted as well in commercials for BMW, Coca Cola, Dodge and J.C. Penney. Her current CD release, Live at Birdland, was recorded at the club in March and released in August.
