Jennifer Jajeh brings her comedic solo show about life as a single, Catholic, Palestinian-American woman to San Francisco. In I Heart Hamas: And Other Things I'm Afraid to Tell You, Jajeh recounts a trip back to her parents' hometown in the West Bank while weaving in an honest and funny examination of topics from dating to politics to identity. As improv goes, it needs more professionalism. That said, it had its moments of levity, although the technology was a near-constant issue to be dealt with and got in the way. The cast should find a funny way to cover when glitches happen (regularly) rather than lob lame/wry comments or make excuses. Of all the live Internet bits I thought the side by side "Crossfire" debate worked the best...it's easy to focus on a two-shot on screen and not be distracted by the live local action.

Great concept, but terrible execution. The technology wasn't quite there yet - they needed a faster internet connection and everyone should have been individually mic'ed in each city - it was REALLY hard to hear what anyone was saying in LA.
Also, it felt like they were trying too hard with the technology - the portion of the show that was just San Fran didn't need the use of the camera backstage. Improv is actually funnier when it's less realistic - having had those "fake interviews" or "dream sequences" right next to the main action would have been much funnier than having them behind the screen being filmed and projected.
Finally, when Los Angeles didn't answer when they tried to reconnect, it felt very awkward. You're improv-ers.... do some improv in the meantime! Leave a funny message for LA, do SOMETHING! Having the awkward moment, and then the woman with crazy hair start World's Worst just didn't work. World's Worst didn't fit at all into the style of improv you were doing, and it felt VERY weird.
Overall, I give it a "just ok." Again - great concept. But work out the technological kinks and maybe get one or two more funny people to replace the not-so-funny ones!

The future is here. For over seven years Combined Artform’s Tilted Frame has been working with live video, internet and improv to the delight of audiences in Los Angeles and San Francisco. And now they bring it all together in Tilted Frame – Live Improv Between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
For the first time in improv history Tilted Frame will bring together its two companies to perform a show for two cities at the same time. They will be bringing some old favorites like Snapshots and News Report, now with a cross city twist. Be a part of history and tell your cross state friends. Two Cities, One Show, Live Internet.
Starting during the dot com revolution Tilted Frame has been pushing the envelope of multi-media production. Opening with Taste Like Random in the summer of 2002, Tilted Frame uses video and the internet in a way no other company has used them before. With a skilled group of improvisers their techniques have been viewed by various playwrights who have used them in their own works. Now, with companies in Los Angeles and San Francisco they have further experimented with the format of the show, leading up to this cross state performance.
