There was a lot just across the street. $2.50 for the evening, and it felt safe.

The photograph and description totally over-hype this production. The dancers are talented, but not served by the sophomoric choreography. San Francisco has so many genuinely talented dance troupes--give this one a miss.

Quotes & Highlights

“Solidly abstract dance and, yes, a little glamour.” —SF Gate

The Trap was created from a collaboration between architects, spatial design experts, lighting specialists and dance artists. Chalk, ribbon, string and light create ever-changing rooms that morph in height, width, lightness, and darkness. Within these rooms the dance artists tell stories of the human struggle to conform, and to live with compromise. The Courage Group will also present a duet titled Cold Snap and the popular group piece of last season, Pressed.**
