Description

Second Wind Productions presents Suzan Lori-Park’s Top Dog/Underdog, October 20th through the 18th at The Phoenix Theatre. Winner of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize, this darkly comic fable returns to San Francisco for the first time since its touring production. Lincoln and Booth, two brothers whose names were given to them as a joke, share a one-room apartment. Booth wants to be a legendary three-card monte hustler like his brother; Lincoln is struggling to escape his criminal life, impersonating Abraham Lincoln in an arcade. Haunted by the past and obsessed with power, each clings to the other as if by static, but with that closeness comes a shocking electricity that threatens to destroy them.
