I loved Treefall. I found it easy to follow along with the storyline, as well as thought-provoking and intense. It was different, raw, and uncomfortable at times - perhaps not for everyone, but that's exactly what I loved about it. Performances by all 4 actors were incredible, and every scene was intense or emotional, separated by interesting set changes. It will leave you thinking...

I'm an actor with over 20 years of experience, I've seen a lot of shows, and I'm pretty jaded. Was not expecting to love this, but I absolutely did. Everything from the set and sound design, to storyline and performances were really, really strong. Characters are captivating and surprising; story is intense and unusual, emotionally charged but not contrived. Treefall represents some bold artistic risk-taking on the part of everyone involved, and it's done with great intelligence... what theater should be, in my opinion. Beautiful work, highly recommended.

Description

The most primal aspects of erotic attraction and the dynamics of competition among siblings and parents play themselves out in this post-apocalyptic drama set in the Pacific Northwest, as modern civilization lies in ruins. As four characters form a makeshift family, Treefall examines how our culture sees and instills gender, identity and family.
