Interesting show. The program didn't say, but I'm guessing that this is early Woody Allen. The first play was a bit of a slapstick/farce, which is not my favorite Woody Allen aspect. It was uneven, but funny.Written on Nov 24 2008
The second play was the better of the two and the actor playing the mentally ill man was outstanding. It had shades of Woody's darker comedies.
I would recommend this production. It was a fun night.

Two very good Woody Allen shows for the price of one.Written on Dec 08 2008
Both shows are clever and have lots of humor, with various twists to keep you continually interested.
The acting was quite good as well.
All in all, a fun night out.

Description

In Riverside Drive (Bay Area Premiere!) Fred Savage, a homicidal, paranoid, schizophrenic vagrant ex-copywriter, has been stalking Jim, a screenwriter for weeks, convinced that his prey stole his idea - in fact, his life - to create a successful movie plot. Hilarity ensues as Fred channels orders from the top of the Empire State Building (along with other radio waves) that command him to fix Jim’s marriage, save his career, and blackmail him for a million dollars.

In Central Park West, a well to do psychiatrist has just discovered that her best friend is having an affair with her husband. She has invited the friend over for a confrontation after getting thoroughly soused. Meanwhile, the husband is about to run off with a college student, and it seems, half of Manhattan. Central Park West provides an hour of constant hilarity!
