We really had fun! These people are very clever, very quick, very entertaining, very funny! This was our third event with them, but it most certainly won't be our last.Written on Feb 22 2010

It was not very funny. The show had its moments, but they came few and far between. The scenework was lacking in basics, since there was too much focus on plot and premise and not enough focus on relationships. The players were very experienced, so I was quite disappointed.Written on Feb 26 2010

This was our first time to this venue. Before the show started, we were asked to write a phrase on a piece of paper. It was explained that the players would incorporate our phrases into the show. Actually, this is a single scene where the players improvise and read the phrases from the audience. We thought this scene was really funny and thought it should have been longer. There were some slow scenes but overall we enjoyed ourselves and would come back for another show.Written on Feb 24 2010

UN-scripted is always fun and creative and surprisingly quick, and this show, a sort of loose "long-form" improv, was entertaining. I didn't find them quite as howlingly funny this time around as some of their past shows have been, but it was opening night and they may get the rhythm up a tad more as this run progresses. the themes cast chose on 2/18, opening night, were a bit macabre, and audience feedback felt some of the war (and implicitly Nazi) scenes replete with fake German accents were probably not as successful. (maybe there is not that much that's really funny about a bombing raid?) the cast, which will change in composition with each performance, using four out of the eight members, always have a jolly good time and share that pleasure at being straight-out bizarre in their creativity with the audience, though a more deadpan approach, especially on the part of the men who were on stage, have been even more successful in some scenes than their grinning at, and through, the absurdity of the situations they created. somehow, though, it's hard to resist grinning along with them. parents, and the highly sensitive, be aware that there was a lot of cussing and "adult situations" in this one. if you have no problem with that, and I certainly don't in this context - go and have a good laugh with Un-scripted - you'll be smiling when you leave even if you were a stress-bucket when you arrived. the cast and production staff are friendly and seem genuinely glad to share their sense of play with each of us in the audience; they are really glad you are there. or at least they know how to fake it well. really talented folks who will make you smile; a great value for the low price of tickets here.Written on Feb 19 2010
