We left after the first 45 minutes of the 2-hour tour. It was more like a "standing" tour than a "walking tour". We travelled a total of 3 blocks during the first 45 minutes, standing first at Grace Cathedral, and then in the doorway of a dry cleaner.

The beginning seemed promising, with history about the cathedral and old money in Nob Hill, but I really, really, wanted to WALK. Like around the cathedral, at least. I've been on other walking tours, and while it's a challenge to walk and talk, it can be done (you have to walk nearly backwards so the audience can hear).

The second 20 minutes was just awful. The guide told us silly stories about vampire feedings underneath a restaurant and driving stakes through policemen. It's cool to weave in funny vampire jokes or comments, but we paid to experience history, not long, (badly told, cliche-ridden) fables.

Fun, fun, fun! Lots of theatrical flare and some interesting ghost stories. A lot of the history is completely bogus, so take that about as seriously as the vampire stories. Your guide, Ms. Harker, is quite creative and imaginative. Highly recommended for a good time.

Our Vampress was very cool, very friendly and lively. Her stories are interesting. The extras (I don't want to spoil it for people) were fun. The tour itself was nice, but I wish there were more vampire-related places to go to. And going inside those places would be nice...but I understand we can't always have that. All in all, I recommend this both for tourists and SF natives. There's lots to learn.
