Watson Adventures sends food- and fun-seekers on a culinary quest to discover the gourmet delights of Chinatown and North Beach, while chewing over notoriously tricky clues and collecting delectable treats on this one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt. These two iconic San Francisco neighborhoods have a rich cultural and epicurean history. San Francisco's Chinatown is the oldest in North America and has the largest Chinese population outside of Asia. Established in the 1840s, this city-within-a-city has retained the unique culture, architecture and character that continue to make it a destination for immigrants and tourists alike. Many of the Chinese restaurants here are long-established institutions, some having been in business over 100 years. Just next door to Chinatown is North Beach, which serves as the city's Little Italy. In addition to housing a multitude of fine Italian fare, North Beach was home to the Beat Generation of poets, writers and artists and their legacy still remains. Explore the historical and culinary riches while participating in a fun and challenging hunt with Watson Adventures!

This event had too many questions, too difficult questions in too short a time. It is called munch around but there is very little time to eat. The questions where spaced out too far from each other thus requiring too much time to be wasted walking from place to place. The rules state that everyone must stay together and the point of contact stated that she would be checking up on us to enforce this. However, when I encountered the other group, they stated that they had to split up inorder to keep up with the pace. In fact, they were traveling by taxi ride to get to each location. They also stated that they had to look up many of the answers on the internet because they couldn't find them even when they went to the location. In addition, the advertisement states that the munchies that we are required for the adventure will only cost around $10/person. We spent much more than that.
In the future, Watson adventures should require that everyone come with a GPS, have internet access to tackle most of the questions, have less questions, have a smaller area to cover, monitor and enforce their rules, increase the price so that the munchies are included, and allow for some breathing room.
