La Périchole, Jacques Offenbach's opera buffa, comes to Montgomery Theater. The opera equivalent of musical-theater comedy, this fully staged three-act opera concerns two impoverished Peruvian street-singers, too poor to afford a marriage license, and a lecherous viceroy, who wishes to make the female street singer, named La Périchole, his mistress. Set in 1950s Lima, with music that's diverse and delightful, the opera is performed in English with supertitles. It contains some of Offenbach's most charming music, filled with boleros, seguidillas and galops. Learn More

Describe your experience...This man has good showmanship & can really sing. Great back up Swing, Big Band. To start, the song choices were much too relaxing ...Hubby & I were both dosing off. Enjoyed the later, peppier, more familiar tunes, that kept us awake.
Relive the music that put Las Vegas on the map and the term 'Wild Cool and Swingin' back into the hip world of Retro-Swing!
The fans of Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin are as faithful and diehard as they come - you're either with or against one or the other. Though the two never shared a stage, "Rat Pack is Back" star Jonathan Poretz does the impossible, bringing these two musical giants together, in concert for the first time.
Regardless of whose camp you're in, prepare yourself for an exhilarating musical evening as Poretz and his Mini Basie-Style Big Band pit Sinatra and Darin classics against each other in a true Clash of the Titans!
Among the song battles that will be played out are: "I've Got You Under My Skin" vs. "Mack The Knife", "Goody Goody" vs. "As Long As I'm Singing", "Old McDonald vs. Clementine", "New York, New York" vs. "Sunday In New York", "Fly Me To The Moon" vs. "Charade", "My Way" vs. "The Curtain Falls" and many more.
Whether you are a Sinatra/Bobby Darin fan or simply love the cool smooth sounds of crooner stylists such as Michael Buble, don't miss this rare opportunity to experience the excitement of Old-World Las Vegas in a swinging hip new show that brings back the magic and memories of the coolest music ever recorded - the show that puts you inside the sounds that made the legends of Sin City famous!
