Boozy and burned-out university professor Dr. Frank Bryant needs to earn some extra cash to support his alcohol habit, so he agrees to tutor Rita, a brash, free-spirited hairdresser who desperately wants to better herself. The result is British playwright Willy Russell's delightful Pygmalion-style comedy Educating Rita, in which Frank ends up playing Henry Higgins to Rita's modern-day Eliza Doolittle. Each half of this unlikely pair has a profound impact on the other, opening up new possibilities for both of their lives. Learn More

I have been to the Olinder Theater many times and this was another truly outstanding performance which made one feel very good with themselves and the world. The actors were very professional, talented and very enthusiastic about their craft; the directing was great and the sets were well done. The Olinder is a very cozy and comfy theater without a bad seat in the house. I would highly recommend this play to anyone with a pulse. -- coachames --
A ghost story by Charles Dickens. Come see the show that the Mercury News has called "the best production of A Christmas Carol in the Bay Area!"
Northside Theatre Company presents its 27th annual production of this holiday event. This excellent stage adaptation of the Dickens’ classic captures all the power, humor and warmth this ageless tale has to offer. It is a great Christmas present for the entire family. This is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely miser, who, through the help of spirits and visions from his past, present and future, finds a second chance to become a loving, generous, kind human being.
