San Jose SaberCats: Thrilling Arena Football Action

Full Price:
$12.00 - $14.00
Our Price:
$5.00 - $7.00

The SaberCats return for another season of fast-paced, hard-hitting action at HP Pavilion. The team takes to the field under the helm of new quarterback Aaron Garcia. A future hall of famer, Garcia comes from the San Antonio Talons where he threw for 4,985 yards and a career-high 118 touchdowns last year. Arena football is played indoors on a smaller field with walls instead of sidelines. Fielding a squad of 8, play is fast and furious, leading to high-scoring games and relentless action. The team also welcomes receivers Jason Willis and Jamarko Simmons to the lineup to help pad their already impressive offense. All-star linebacker Francis Maka returns and will be joined by Justin Lawrence and Justin Warren for 2013. Learn More

AMAZING production design and well executed. Fun and engaging staging. Too bad many people thought it was a musical. IT'S NOT! A must see.

pyrotechnics, acrobats, high wire action, 80 feet led screen and a great story. they threw in all the classic villains and stayed true to the comic story. minus one star for lack of selection of beer and food...but otherwise great performance...would def go again!!!

hopefully it will be bane breakin batmans back...

Amazing costumes and set up (huge screen makes you part of the show).
Not enough rythme in the show, you can get bored sometimes.
The performance itself is mediocre.
My kids enjoyed it, so I guess that's the most important.

This show is an interesting concept. There's a combination of theatrics, acrobatics, and magic tricks. The best part was the screen backdrop that provided dimension to each scene. My kids really enjoyed the stunts and all the villains. I felt the pace of the show could have been faster, and the second half was better than the first.

The show was good, the digital screen in the back ground was great. My grandson was 4 and it was a bit scary for him.

Great for kids 12 and under. As an adult, I found it "eh" but no doubt, it's intended for the kids who love all things Batman.

This was a GREAT theatrical performance! Included were many acrobatic performances, some pyrotechnic effects, moving sets and talented actors and actresses. The bat-screen backdrop provided an ever-changing element that no theater set can provide! It helped move the story forward (and backwards), connect to the comics and bring the audience through many environments that could not be portrayed with a physical set. It really added something unique and powerful. Over all, a VERY well done show, great for all ages!

Very good - lots of color and action. Some of the content was a little intense for our 7 yr old. But saw lots of much younger kids there too... so not sure how they handled it.

True to the original comic, it was a great show. Not suitable for younger children though, as there were 2 murders. They do handle then pretty well, though.

More Information About Batman Live

Description

Batman Live is a visually stunning, state-of-the-art production, which brings Batman, a host of iconic characters, and the settings from the famed world of DC comics, live and on stage.

The show features impressive stunts, pyrotechnics, illusions and video screen sequences.  With a 42-member cast, Batman Live has a new, original storyline that features Batman, his trusty counterpart Robin, tireless butler Alfred and a host of other favorite Batman characters. Additional favorites include villains such as The Joker, Catwoman, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and The Penguin. As audiences enter the arena, they are greeted by a 3D Gotham City landscape complete with buildings, soundscape, and video animation, setting the scene for the story to come.

The magnitude of the production becomes apparent the first moment a full symphonic score is heard and a 105-foot bat-shaped LED video wall comes to life, enhancing the action on a custom-built stage. Another exciting element is the eye-catching, all-new Batmobile, designed especially for the show.

Adapted from the DC Comics characters and stories, Batman Live focuses on Robin’s quest for justice, which leads him to follow in the footsteps of his hero -- the mysterious vigilante known as Batman -- much to the dismay of his protective guardian, billionaire Bruce Wayne, whom the audience knows is secretly Batman. Batman Live is, at its heart, a poignant coming-of-age story. Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson must learn to overcome their own fears and forge their own family -- with the help of Police Commissioner James Gordon and Bruce’s trusted butler, Alfred Pennyworth -- if they’re going to survive the combined forces of Batman’s larger-than-life rogues’ gallery, some of the most famous and beloved villains of the 20th century.

The show is a non-stop thrill ride across Gotham City that transforms Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson into the legendary crime-fighters, Batman and Robin. The adventure transports the audience from the Big Top of Haly's Circus to the depths of Arkham Asylum, and from the glittering peaks of the Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge to the subterranean wonders that await inside the Batcave.
