The Retro Dome presents Becoming Britney. How does a pop sensation wind up bald and trapped in her own musical? Can musicals save her soul? This caustic but loving fable chronicles the rise, the dip, and the salvation of a foolhardy celebrity phenom and features 11 original songs that pay homage to such musical-theater heavy hitters as Annie, Rent, Little Shop of Horrors and Rodgers and Hammerstein, among others. The show features New York Fringe Festival Award-winning actress Molly Bell in the title role, as well as Retro Dome favorites Keith Pinto, Adam Barry, and Lizzie O'Hara.

I wasn't sure what to expect. At first I thought it was going to be a first class event, then when we pulled up to the theater I was worried that it was going to be cheesy. The theater has a bubble gum, young appeal to it. But I have to say I was happily surprised. Every seat is great and the talent of the cast was great! They all were really good and we really enjoyed the show

It was 'Broadway' edgy. Amazingly talented group. I can't even pick out just one because they were all really talented. Nobody was holding back. Even when voices faultered for even just a note, they worked it through like true professionals. If these kids are this talented at this age, I'm aghast at how well they'll do in the future. What a pleasure watching these talented artists. Bravi!!!
