No topic is taboo for Ryan Stout, whose clean-cut look belies his nature to delve into morally repugnant subject matter with smart and sterile objectivity for big laughs. Using exaggerated honesty, delightful insincerity and mock self-righteousness, Stout's wickedly dark material appeals to everyone's sense of logic. Make no mistake, Stout will talk about rape and abortion, but to keep things on an intellectual level, he'll do his best not to curse. A veteran of Chelsea Lately and various MTV shows, Stout will take you into a dark corner ... and make you laugh out loud. Learn More

Venue was cute and easy to find. Event reflected an organization that was grass rooted and committed to providing a fun and entertaining night. 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors presented a show that was funny, political and somewhat outrageous. At times, it was difficult to hear the performers so I didn't get all the jokes. Overall, a good show.Written on Nov 23 2009
The after-show reception was really cool! There were snacks, drinks and even cake! We also got to mingle with the performers.
An interesting night that reminded me of things that I used to attend in college. Love the CATS efforts and look forward to their show next year!

A series of sketches/ skits acted out with no props or microphones. Great and relevant topics, really well written, sometimes a characters speech can be fast so it helps to come early and sit near the front. Alcohol served. Acoustics pretty good, actors/tress's great.Written on Nov 23 2009

Yes, it was funny. Interesting topics, high energy. True - sometimes they spoke a little too fast. It was worth what I paid for.Written on Nov 23 2009

Description
CATS, Contemporary Asian Theater Scene, announces the booking of the popular sketch comedy troupe 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors for its 9th Annual Asian Comedy Night.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors promises to bring old favorites and new sharp themes to its only appearance in northern California. “Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the hilarious commentary recognized as hallmarks of this famous group,” stated a CATS spokesperson. “We are excited and proud to have scheduled 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors in this milestone anniversary year.”
Quite possibly the world's most psychotic Asian American Theatrical Comedy group, the Warriors have been together since 1994 and in that time have created 12 all-new material feature shows, 3 original collaborations with Culture Clash, Campo Santo and Latina Theatre Lab, and performed in New York City, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Chicago, Houston, and Phoenix, among other cities. Inspired by groups such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, Culture Clash, SNL, and Kids in the Hall, their irreverent style of skit comedy ranges from slapstick to political and takes no prisoners.
