The second half of the show was much better than the first part! This was my 2nd Cirque du Soleil show and I had very high expectations. For the price, the show was worth it. Go see it. I just thought I would be sitting much closer. Considering I'm a Goldstar VIP member, and the claim was that I would get better seats, I was disappointed.Written on Mar 28 2011

I've attended a few Cirque du Soleil shows and Quidam was just not as enjoyable as the other two. It was a little more on the whimsical side than Kooza, which had much more physical acrobatics than does Quidam. Quidam had more of a feel of watching a ballet at times than a circus.Written on Mar 25 2011
I was not pleased with the seating at HP Pavilion. Although they only sold seats in a portion of the arena, we were much farther away from the performers than we had been in the big tent for comparably-priced seats, and much higher up.
I felt that some of the acts went on too long, notably the audience participation bits. Like any Cirque show, there were many "I can't believe any human being can do that" moments, but also many times when a costumed performer floated onto the stage, sometimes in the air, and left you anticipating what they were about to perform, only to have them leave the stage. In other words, in some cases more ballet than acrobatics.
I have to take Goldstar to task regarding not the ticket pricing but the description. Our $57 tickets really did cost $90 on Ticketmaster as Goldstar claimed, and Goldstar's service fee was $3 less than Ticketmaster so in fact Goldstar's deal was even better than claimed. However we had a choice of Lower Level Center or Lower Level SIde and selected Center. Our tickets, in section 113, were really Side. Even though the section is technically in front of the stage, the seats face 90 degrees away, and the sightline is across the stage, not down the stage, as almost all of the show takes place at the very front of the stage.
I think this and other Cirque shows work much better in their Big Tent than in an arena.

Quidam was just too slow. The ticket price with Goldstar was excellent, but the seating was lousy. I have seen other Cirque Du Soleils and watched great performances but Quidam was just too too slow. No WOW factor in this show. That's too bad because I paid and took 9 of my family members for their 1st viewing of Cirque Du Soliels and was disappointed.Written on Mar 28 2011

If you have ever seen any Cirque show in a traveling tent or else at a permanent venue in Vegas, you are sure to be disappointed . . . hugely disappointed. Stadium seating is so far from the action, the stage is so far from even the front row, there is no connection with the amazing performers. This adaptation of Quidam, made especially for big stadiums, is in a word, BORING. My favorite parts of last year's traveling version were omitted. I almost fell asleep.Written on Mar 26 2011

Description
Young Zoé is bored; her parents, distant and apathetic, ignore her. Her life has lost all meaning. Seeking to fill the void of her existence, she slides into an imaginary world -- the world of Quidam -- where she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul.
Quidam: a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past and swallowed by the crowd. It could be anyone, anybody. Someone coming or going at the heart of our anonymous society. A member of the crowd, one of the silent majority. The one who cries out, sings and dreams within us all. This is the “quidam” whom this show allows to speak. This is the place that beckons—a place for dreaming and genuine relations where all quidams, by proclaiming their individuality, can finally emerge from anonymity.
