Dress warm and casual, but not too bulky because you won't be comfortable in the small seats.

Excellent show, not quite as good as Ovo, and someone told me this is not a new show, that Totem had been on tour before. But in general a WOW evening. I am not sure how all the parts went together as a story but who cares when it is beautiful, funny and awe inspiring.Written on Mar 19 2012
The seats however were extremely uncomfortable.

I really liked the show... I liked the tie into the Native American tradition.. The Indian hoop dancer was great... The aerial acrobatics wonderful as usual.. very entertaining..Written on Mar 08 2012

I enjoyed the show, second time I saw it. First time was opening night in SF with my dad, the second time around I took my gf for her birthday to the San Jose location. Seats were akward mainly because we were smooshed next to people literally knees to knees, during intermission i asked an usher if we could move to the center section that had been open ALL night. She kindly agreed and allowed us to move to a more spacious not so squishy area to enjoy the remainder of the show.Written on Mar 17 2012

- Make sure you PRINT OUT your tickets before you go. For this event they don't hold them at will call and you can't scan from your phone.Written on Mar 14 2012
- The $33 seats are good enough to see all of the action. But there is partial obstruction from the support beams. Enough to be an annoyance but not enough to miss any action.
- This wasn't the best Cirque du Soleil event ever. Just ok. Spring for the $30-$50 tickets. The show isn't worth more IMO, even if you're seated on stage.
- Show up earlier for better parking. It jumps from $10 - $15 the last 20 min before show time.
- Water is $6.00. You read that right. Get a water from AM/PM and put it in your purse or pocket and save $5.50.
- Leave as the show is coming to a conclusion to avoid pandemonium and mass crowds exiting from the event.

Description
TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly.
The characters evolve on a stage evoking a giant turtle, the symbol of origin for many ancient civilizations. Inspired by many founding myths, TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the evolutionary progress of species.
Somewhere between science and legend TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential.
