One of the nation's top touring stand-up comics, Godfrey is also in high demand as an actor, appearing in the films Zoolander, Original Gangstas and Soul Plane. He's also made multiple appearances on Louie, BET's Comic View and VH1's I Love the... series. Godfrey was also a cast member on the first season of The It Factor, starred in a major series of commercials for 7UP, filmed an hour-long stand-up special for Comedy Central and appeared on NBC's 30 Rock. Long story short -- Godfrey is one seriously busy (and funny) man. Catch him at the San Jose Improv as he brings an arsenal of amusing characters and witticisms to the stage. Learn More

Oh My Goodness! This lil guy was funny as hell!! What made him funnier was the way he jumped around and used his body expressions. There was a point I said out loud that he needed to stop so I could breath from laughing so much. I still had moments of laughter the next day as I thought about some of the things he said. Good Times!
Johnny Sanchez is one of two new series regulars among the Season 13 cast of MADtv_. One does not have to peruse Johnny’s entertainment resume too long in order to understand why everyone at MADtv_ has placed such faith in his abilities. Johnny has already earned a reputation as one of Los Angeles’s most sought-after standup comedians. By employing a highly energetic performing style, careful attention to character detail, and precise delivery, Johnny shows time and again why his standup is truly worthy of such attention. He has showcased his comedy skills on numerous television programs, including HBO’s “Comedy Showcase,” the syndicated “Comics Unleashed,” BET’s “Comic View,” and Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.” Comedy Central even went a step further, giving Johnny an opportunity to shoot his own half-hour special for “Comedy Central Presents.”
In addition to his standup work and current “MADtv” gig, Johnny has also found a number of side projects to keep him busy. Television guest-starring roles include “Becker” and “Watching Ellie,” the second of which featured Johnny in a recurring role. Johnny also lent his voice to 2006’s animated film Happy Feet, which also features voiceovers from Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, and Brittany Murphy.
