Set in Italy during the summer of 1953, The Light in the Piazza tells the story of Clara, a naïve young woman who falls in love with a handsome Florentine named Fabrizio, while traveling with her mother Margaret through Tuscany. But Margaret has been keeping a dark secret that threatens to destroy their whirlwind romance. The original 2005 Broadway production starred Matthew Morrison (Glee) as Fabrizio and won six Tony Awards, including Best Original Score for Adam Guettel. Based on a novella by Elizabethe Spencer, the show's book is by award-winning writer Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss). Learn More

Went to the 2pm Sunday showing and had a great time. The three actors are very talented and engaging, Kevin with his radio announcer voice, Martin with his facial expressions and Colin with his George Constanza dry, droll humor. The first half, they go through the litany of BHC, beloved holiday classic movies and shows, you will recognize them all. Then the second half, they go through both It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol at the same time. Then they end the show with a song of our old fave holiday songs. Was a little slow in some parts and engaging audience participation in others. Was a fun afternoon.Written on Nov 24 2008

A fabulous show, funny and relevant to the audience. The three actors are very talented.. I've seen each of them in different productions at The Stage Theatre. Definitely go, enjoy yourselves at a deal, and support your local theatre. Seating anywhere is great, so don't worry!Written on Dec 05 2011

Excellent performers, middling material. I expected a much faster-paced, witty show. It was "safe" and silly. Not bad, just not great.Written on Dec 18 2010

# Excellent actors. Their timing is perfect and the Jimmy Stewart impersonation in A Wonderful Life was terrific. This one of the most fun plays I have ever seen and I will hope to see it next year.Written on Dec 19 2011
