Written on Feb 04 2012This workshop production was great fun. Hope it matures into a full production.
Written on Feb 17 2009The actors were all very good, but it was actually a workshop (there was a break in the action due to a miscue and, due to a family emergency, a stand-in actually read from a physical script while acting onstage...though she was excellent, considering she was literally called in just before the show). I was caught offguard with the workshop setup, but my family did have a good time and the actors were all excellent and lots of fun.
Written on Feb 17 2009The producers misrepresented this production. On their website and all publicity it stated this was a new musical. True, but it didn't say it was a workshop. They were charging a lot of money ($28.50 at the door) for a work-in-progress. Only the opening curtain speech and the program mentioned that this was a workshop, and the man giving the speech (the director?) said some of the actors might be carrying song lyrics that they had just been handed that day. THe performers were all very good, and the premise of the show is good, but it does need a major rewrite of the 2nd Act.
Written on Feb 16 2009The actors were great, story was cute. I guess I like some stage decor and there was none. Enjoyed it, but not immensely. I am very easy to please.
