Description

Jacob Sirof was born and raised in San Francisco during the "Comedy Boom" of the 1980s. There were few places more booming than San Francisco, so nobody was too surprised when Jacob announced at an early age that he wanted to be a comedian when he grew up. Today, Jacob still hasn't grown up, although he is a comedian. As a young adult, he started doing stand-up in his hometown, and quickly joined the ranks of a promising young crop of local talent, which has since been dubbed "The New Wave" of San Francisco comedy. In 2006, Jacob was selected to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, Canada, where he enjoyed the company of comedians and industry types from all over the world. His television appearances include Live At Gotham on Comedy Central and Down and Dirty With Jim Norton on HBO. He has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as the Hollywood Reporter, and performs across much of the known galaxy.

Jacob currently resides in Santa Monica, California with his wife, fellow comic Sherry Sirof, and their daughter, Wynter Moon. He would like to do comedy forever and ever, yet he is a mere mortal, and will most likely die someday.
