Known for their punishing defense, the Kings are facing one of the NHL's elite squads in the Sharks, as San Jose has won four consecutive Pacific Division titles. In a November 7 meeting between the two teams in Los Angeles, the Sharks took down the Kings by a score of 4-2.

Hockey is a great sport to see live. The arena is clean, well lit. Not like the old Boston Garden of my youth full of cigarette and cigar smoke,cursing men wearing fedoras.

This is one of the premier hockey venue's in the NHL and the sharks are a perennial playoff team. The venue is across the street from a light rail and cal train station making transportation a breeze. It's walking distance from down town san jose, perfect if you want a reasonable price dinner before the game or celebratory drinks after the game.

The only down side is the food in the venue is border line over priced. The game is great the seats are worth the price. NHL has provided a family safe environment for games.
