Noor: Empress of the Mughals -- New Historical Drama
Acclaimed Indian stage, film and television director Feisal Alkazi writes and directs this world-premiere historical drama for EnActe Arts, which tells the story of the Persian poet and scholar Noor, the influential wife of the early 1600s Mughal emperor Jahangir. Noor, both a savvy political strategist and wealthy businesswoman, was known for her behind-the-scenes machinations as various power struggles raged between the emperor, his sons and neighboring rajahs in early 17th-century India. Alkazi's in the midst of a 35-year directing career which includes more than 200 plays and 32 films.
