The defending NHL Pacific Division champion San Jose Sharks gear up for a new year of hockey with a preseason game against the Phoenix Coyotes. Last year, the Sharks were the second seed in the Western Conference playoffs, and made the conference finals for the second consecutive year before losing to the Vancouver Canucks. This year, Sharks veterans Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau and rising star Logan Couture are joined by several new players, including All-Star defenseman Brent Burns. The Coyotes' rugged defense and balanced scoring also earned them a playoff berth last year.

It was a great opportunity to see the Sharks during the pre season. The seats were also really good and we got to see it from very close. Overall it was a wonderful experience.Written on Sep 26 2011

The seats were pretty good. It was advertised as sideline seating and they were at the bend between goalie and sideline seating. Overall, great seats for the price and sharks won with less than 5 minutes remaining.Written on Sep 26 2011
