Get ready for a wickedly funny--yet touching--play that turns Christmas upside down! In Sugar Plum Fairy, multi-talented actor/author/commentator Sandra Tsing Loh recalls a 1970s San Fernando Valley childhood rife with dashed dreams, sibling rivalry, adolescent fantasies and general mayhem during that tumultuous seasonal ritual: The Holidays.

A fun Monday night out. Thanks so much for offering this last minute break from shopping and wrapping, and for just the handling fee. This is the first time we've been able to use goldstarevents. I'm so glad I read my email Monday! Also, it was good that you mentioned leaving extra 20 minutes for driving around looking for a parking space. I didn't think it would be so crowded downtown on a Monday night.

Description

By Sandra Tsing Loh
Directed by David Schweizer

Sandra Tsing Loh, of Loh Life and the Rep hit Aliens in America fame, wrote and stars in the hilarious holiday show Sugar Plum Fairy. As Loh alternates between narrator of her own story and the embodiment of the frustrated 12-year-old she once was, we see her morph from dancing Christmas tree to mature woman, from aspiring ballerina in a school Nutcracker to reconciled grown-up mother. Lauded by critics as a one-woman theatrical tour de force, Loh's irreverent saga playfully pokes fun at the manic excesses and stresses of this most wonderful time of the year.
