Young novelist Sebastian Justice may be unhappy and afraid to leave the house, but as far as depressed agoraphobics go, he's the most well-adjusted one in Manhattan. At least, that's what he claims when forced by his publisher to see a "writer's block whisperer" (aka psychologist). Justice spends his therapy sessions ranting about everything from global warming to tennis, while his shrink encourages him to get to the bottom of his grief. Then, a stunning and mysterious Saudi woman enters the picture, throwing off the balance of his normally self-contained world. Will she be the one to save him from his wounded self? Or does she threaten to lead him further down the rabbit hole? This evocative play by Jonathan Marc Feldman stars Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men's Pete Campbell) and Amy Pietz (Caroline in the City), and is directed by Rick Lombardo.

The final musical collaboration by the legendary theater team of John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret and Kiss of the Spider Woman) comes to Los Angeles for a run at the Ahmanson Theatre. This surprising and inspiring story is based on the Scottsboro case from the '30s concerning nine young African-American men who were unjustly accused of a shocking crime and whose story would eventually contribute to the Civil Rights Movement. The Scottsboro Boys is told through a mix of innovative staging and piercing songs, and garnered 12 Tony Award nominations. This production is directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers). Learn More

Very modern play! This play touches the psychotic mind of a novelist and makes you sit and think about your own insecurities and lives. Great for the young-minded.

I thoroughly enjoyed, The Death of The Novel. The acting was amazing! And the storyline was an education in phobias and personality disorders. I was entertained and learned a lot in the process.

This is an excellent play with very smart, fast dialogue. The setting is in NYC, NY in an apartment. The stage design is amazing in terms of the set changes and the "outside view", which is always changing in a very believable sense. All of the acting is top notch.
The play is a psychological "head game" that keeps moving at a New York pace.
Very well done, worth your time.
