In a quintessential American restaurant, two people meet, fall in love and begin the messy process of creating a life together. From birth to that inevitable last course and every corn dog, calamari and Cadillac margarita in between, a potluck of characters' lives fly by like short order fare as five generations experience joy, heartache, love and loss. Expect humor and heartache in this award-winning off-Broadway hit by Dan LeFranc (Sixty Miles to Silver Lake), which earned him the 2010 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award. Learn More

This was our first time seeing a live performance at the Retro Dome. The theater is quite small, which makes for a very cozy and intimate entertainment experience. The quality of the performance was very good - very talented individuals. We greatly enjoyed the piano and harp accompaniment. The songs, other than "Can You Remember" were not familiar to us and I must admit that I didn't find most of them to be very memorable. "Can You Remember" is playing over and over in my mind however, and probably will continue to for quite some time.

The play was very entertaining and amusing. All the actors were good and played their parts very well. I have to comment on the 'mute' who did an excellent job of always being 'in character.' His facial expressions were priceless! Loved it.

“Delightful!” —New York Times
Now playing at The Retro Dome, it’s The Fantasticks, the funny, romantic musical comedy about first love, lost love and – eventually – true love. A handsome narrator sets the scene for Matt and Luisa, teenagers who fall in love at first sight. What follows is a mix of hilarious comedy, wild adventure and gorgeous music. Winner of the Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater, The Fantasticks includes the hit songs “Try To Remember” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain” in a score as timeless as its story.
