Written on Dec 19 2012Singing was excellent. Audio was a little garbled at times and the show dragged a little.
Written on Dec 18 2012I was put off by the misrepresentation of the advertisement. The photo shows the cast in very colorful costumes with musical instruments. It looks quite whimsical. It was NOT. The cast did a fine "performance" but mostly stood motionless in front of music stands, looking at their librettos and singing. No costumes, no color, minimal movement. More of a chorus. Sometimes it was hard to understand the lyrics. The songs were interesting, but it just was not what I was expecting at all.
Written on Dec 18 2012It was a delightful spoof describing the Hanukah description and history of how this holiday came to be. I learned a lot and enjoyed it. The actors were good, the singing was good, the venue very intimate which I enjoyed. I think that it was a fun and different kind of holiday entertainment to see. I'm glad that I went and would do it again.
Written on Dec 18 2012Talented group of people singing clever Chanukah lyrics with Nutcracker music.
A good weaving of history, tragedy, comedy.
