In a nursery filled with copper-topped toys, super spies and batteries-not-included playthings, what chance does Velvet have at competing with live rabbits she sees out the window? Though she may be the most modest toy in the nursery, the Velveteen Rabbit earns the love of a young boy and learns about the joys and pain of becoming "real." As performed by CMT's youngest performers, Junior Talents - ages 6 to 9 years old - , Margery Williams' classic book springs to magical life in this enchanting musical about love, loss and self-esteem. The production is directed and choreographed by Michelle Morgan and features music by Jimmy Roberts, the composer of the smash Off-Broadway revue I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.

I did not realize the show would be put on by VERY young children. It was wonderful for their age but I brought guests that became antsy. Most of the audience seemed to be parents, friends, and other relatives of the performers.

This was my 4 yr old son's first play and I wasn't sure if he would sit through it. As it turns out, he loved every minute of it. In fact, when the house lights came on for intermission, he was so upset because he thought it was over. The kids in the play were great and my son was sooo entertained! Can't wait to take him to another production!
