It was once said of Bonnie and Clyde, the his-and-her gangster team, "They're young. They're in love. They kill people." And now, thanks to this rousing and breathlessly exciting new musical, you can add a fourth description: They sing. Composed by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde) with lyrics by Oscar-winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard), Bonnie & Clyde weaves rockabilly, blues and gospel music into the story of how two small-time nobodies in West Texas became America's most notorious folk heroes. San Jose Stage Company presents the regional premiere of this Tony-nominated tale of love, adventure and crime. Learn More
After the show, check out Cafe Stritch. Its two blocks from the theater. A live band usually plays til midnight. They make good strong drinks, and there are usually tables available at that time. They also serve coffee for you non-alcoholic types.Bonnie & Clyde dining • Jun 24 2014 star this tip starred
Quotes & Highlights
The London production was called “the most terrifying theatre experience in the world.”
“We are telling ghost stories – just the thing for Christmas Eve!”
So begins the tale of The Woman in Black, told by the man who lived it years ago as he tries to purge himself of the terror it still brings him. Instead, his story brings back to life the fog-shrouded Victorian mansion where he was haunted by a malevolent ghost – a young woman with a ravaged face. Through shadows and glimpses and things half-heard, we watch the man confront the demons of his past. But will he be able to lay them to rest?
