For over seven decades, the Harlem Globetrotters have impacted the sport of basketball around the world.
The Globetrotters were instrumental in the development of the fast-break offense, the slam dunk, the development of a scouting system to recruit players, and introduced the figure-eight "weave" offense.
Although the Globies still mix comedy and laughs with their phenomenal basketball prowess, they also challenge some of the top teams in the country. In recent years, they have defeated a selection of the top college teams in the country, including Michigan State, Syracuse and UMass!
