Documentary Happy Explores Secrets to Life's Greatest Emotion
How can you be happier? Can you be happy at all? Filmmaker Roko Belic seeks new answers to these age-old questions in Happy, a documentary being shown for the second time at the Osher Marin JCC. Belic, the director of the Oscar-nominated Genghis Blues, travels the world asking ordinary people, real-life heroes, and leading scientists what makes (and keeps) people happy. From the Louisiana swamps to the traffic-throttled streets of Kolkata, Happy takes the viewer on a voyage that is as enlightening as it is entertaining. After the movie has been screened, join what's sure to be a lively community conversation with special guests, including Michael Pritchard, the award-winning youth advocate, and Nita Gage of the Neuroimaginal Institute.
