Set in New York City's Lower East Side, Jonathan Larson's Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, this Broadway hit has become a pop culture phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with power and passion. Based on Puccini's La Bohème, Rent follows a year in the life of a group of penniless young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves and conflicts provides the narrative to this groundbreaking rock musical. Learn More

It wasn't a really strong show, but I'm glad we went. Half of the actors did a terrific job and the other half need a little more rehearsal time. The theater is very cute. It used to be a church. It seats about 80 people and you sit in pews. We found them to be comfortable enough. There were nice, clean restrooms available. They sold candy and water at intermission. The staff was very nice. We would come back again.
