Nurse Ratched is a character of such exquisite evil that she beat out Michael Corleone, Freddy Krueger, HAL 9000 and the Shark from Jaws in an AFI ranking of "100 Greatest Villains." Despite all her power, she meets her match in Randle P. McMurphy, the free-spirited patient who waltzes into her psych unit and threatens to upend her world in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Watching these two -- the strict authoritarian and the carefree rabble-rouser -- engage in a high-stakes game of control is one the chief pleasures of this Tony-winning stage adaptation of Ken Kesey's legendary novel (which also inspired the legendary, Oscar-winning movie). Stacy Holmes directs this tough, touching and tragic American classic now at the Attic Community Theater. Learn More

My husband and I enjoyed the play very much. The acting and dialogue and singing of the King were especially outstanding and very much how I remember Yul Brenner. The other singing was good. The set was quite plain but effective.

The cast was fun - some truly spectacular performances and voices! A couple of characters detracted from the show, but overall enjoyable! The theater was SO much cooler than the last time we saw a show (can't take it with you). Much better!
Along with the dazzling score, the incomparable Jerome Robbins ballet, The Small House of Uncle Thomas, is one of the all-time marvels of the musical stage.
Attic Community Theater has air conditioning.
