Saddle up for a Wild West adventure with Annie Oakley -- the best shot around. Supporting her little brother and sisters by selling the game she so skillfully hunts, Annie is soon discovered by Col. Buffalo Bill, who persuades her to join his Wild West Show. In a heartbeat, she falls in love with the show's veteran sharpshooter, Frank Butler, and soon eclipses him as the show's main attraction. Butler hightails it off to join a rival show, but is ultimately pitted against Annie in a final shootout. This rousing 1946 Broadway musical comedy features such classic Irving Berlin hits as "Anything You Can Do," "Doin' What Comes Natur'lly" and "There's No Business Like Show Business." Learn More

My husband and I enjoyed the play very much. The acting and dialogue and singing of the King were especially outstanding and very much how I remember Yul Brenner. The other singing was good. The set was quite plain but effective.

The cast was fun - some truly spectacular performances and voices! A couple of characters detracted from the show, but overall enjoyable! The theater was SO much cooler than the last time we saw a show (can't take it with you). Much better!
Along with the dazzling score, the incomparable Jerome Robbins ballet, The Small House of Uncle Thomas, is one of the all-time marvels of the musical stage.
