Get your kicks -- not to mention thrills, laughs and moments of heartbreak and everyday heroism -- on Route 66 as you follow the Joad family on their journey down the fabled highway in The Grapes of Wrath. Frank Galati's Tony-winning theatrical adaptation brings John Steinbeck's novel to dramatic life in ways that astonish and move. Stripped of their farm, the impoverished Joad family drives their battered old truck west toward California, hoping to find work and, maybe, a better life. Instead, their character is tested by the gut-wrenching realities of the Great Depression. Kathy Paladino directs a stirring new production of this American classic at the Attic Community Theater. Lovely choreography and some super strong characters. Stand outs were Millie, Mr. Graden, and Jimmy. Superb singing. Unfortunately Mrs. Meers and Muzzy were not wonderful, so some of the potential punch of the show was lost.

Great show. We really want to see it again. After the show, some of the cast members came out into the lobby and mingled with the audience. Very friendly people. One of the best plays I have ever seen. I highly recommend this play... Arrive...continued
