Choral Project's Santa Cruz Season Closer: EarthSongs
$15.00 - $20.00
$7.50 - $10.00*
A new arrangement of Fun.'s pop hit "Some Nights" receives its world premiere when the award-winning Choral Project wraps up its 17th season with a concert called EarthSongs. Set to include a wide variety of world music, the ensemble dubbed "a Bay Area jewel" by the San Jose Mercury News not only takes on Mac Huff's new choral version of "Some Nights," but they'll also perform Christopher Tin's "Baba Yetu" from the video game Civilization, along with Brad Holmes' American hymn "Weeping Mary." The expressive and dramatic "Horizons," by Dutch South African composer Peter Louis van Dijk takes you into the heart of the bush, as do the stirring soulful sounds of the Swahili hymn "O Sifuni Mungu (All Creatures Of Our God And King)." You can also join the singers for a light reception following the concert.
