Description

The visually intoxicating and thought-provoking Arabesco, weaves medieval homoerotic poetry and texts from various Arab, Persian, and Andalusian poets such Rumi, Abu Nawas, Moshe Ebn Ezra, and Judah Halevi with exotic dances and movements that can be traced to ancient Arabia and the Mediterranean. Arbaesco is performed by an all-male cast of dancers and actors from both the Middle East and the U.S.

Arabic fusion is a music genre that combines the genre of Arabic music two or more other genres. Characteristics of fusion genres are variations in tempo, rhythm and sometimes the use of long musical
"journeys" that can be divided into smaller parts, each with their own dynamics, style and tempo. A very strong example of Arabic fusion can be seen in the Middle Eastern influenced Franco-Arabic music. In Franco-Arabic music there is a blend of Arabic music styles with many western styles, including salsa, flamenco, rock, pop, Eurodance, and folk music.

The dances of Arabesco include a wide range of styles, from the erotic and sensual to modern and traditional.
