Our Price:

Wild, bawdy and ferociously playful, Joe Orton's outrageous farce What the Butler Saw is one of the seminal works of modern comedy. When a psychiatrist tries to seduce an aspiring secretary, his botched efforts lead to comic bedlam involving his insatiable wife, a randy bellhop, a befuddled police officer and Sir Winston Churchill. Psychiatry, religion, marriage, government, definitions of gender and even language are all targets of British playwright Orton's poison pen. His sly jokes and hilarious shenanigans will have you shaking with laughter from start to finish. Learn More

It's been a long time since I laughed this much. The evening was very enjoyable, and I recommend this show to everyone, regardless of their faith or ethnic background. After all, don't parents want the best for their children? And don't children try to please their parents, feeling guilty when they don't? This is not just a Jewish thing. The casting was superb, reminded me of members of my own family. Joanna Churgin and Jack Winnick were marvelous, as usual, as the parents. Matt Landig played the role of Bob/David to perfection, and JP Sarro was great as brother Joel. The lead, Sarah, was a little over the top, she could have been toned down a bit, but kept the story moving at a good pace. Great!!!

I had already seen this show before. The actors were great, the sets were great and the directing was great. It was finally nice to have "assigned" seating

What's a Jewish girl to do when she's dating a guy named Chris Cringle but wants to make her parents happy? Create a Jewish doctor boyfriend and hire an actor to play him, of course! And the hilarity that ensues as the plot unfolds is enough to make you say "oy!" Join the Morgan-Wixson Theatre for this comedy about the whole family, directed by Carol Becker and produced by Marc Ostroff. The cast includes Tali Blankfeld, Joanna Churgin, Matt Landig, JP Sarro, Jared Vandenberg and Jack Winnick.
