I must begin:
Even if Goldstar is sold out for Kooza, you still have to go, ITS THAT GOOD!
I loved every minute of it. It kept on moving, I was enthralled the whole time. Out of all the Cirque Du Soleil’s I’ve seen (ok so this was only my third one) this one was by far, by far the best!
The first act was the contortionist. These girls didn’t even look like humans. They costumes made them look like a piece of art work; they reminded me of a street sculpture. And the whole act had a romantic feel to it. I would say the music that accompanied them was perfect. And that was only the first act. You know you’re in for a good show when you’re already blown away and it’s just getting started.
Next was the trapeze artist: She was pretty fantastic, the only down side was that one of the beams that held the lighting was covering half her act. Along with the Double High Wire act, and the wheel of death act, we only got to see part of it, but that didn’t take away from how fantastic these athletes are. I was blow away by each and every act.
The Juggler was pretty amazing and to me that was the slowest part of the circus. I mean come on to say the slowest part of it was still in itself amazing, you really have to be telling yourself by now…. “Self, I don’t care what or who I have to sell I have to get tickets to see Kooza!” If I was reading my review I would say the same thing to my Self!
Ok and the guy balancing on the chairs what just insane! I mean he was so high in the air and using all his strength to balance himself on what had to be over 10 chairs and he is holding himself so still. It was remarkable.
The group that did the teeter-totter and walking on the balls and throwing each other and caching each other well walking on balls were just insane!
So you must go! I know it’s sold out…. But you still have to go! I’m so glad I did. I loved the music so much I went to get the CD after the show but it was $29…. I was like what?!?!?! I’ve never paid almost 30 bucks for a CD not even a double disk, not even a double disk with DVD added. But I lucked out, they had a special on the DVD and program together for only $25. So I got that, I really wanted the DVD too but thought it would have been too much. And to make things even better, I found the MP3 album on Amazon for 10 bucks! So you know I have to save money were I can.
You have to go, you have to go, and you have to go! I mean come on I don’t think there has even been one bad review about the show!
And if you don’t believe me yet…. Don’t go; don’t fall in love with Cirque De Soleil! Good for me I won’t have to fight you for tickets next time they come into town!
Oh and Side not, don’t take your kids if there under like 7, or you know they wont sit still for that long. (there was like a 2 year old crying during the second part of the show, for more then they should of, I mean if your going to bring your kid at least have the decency to take them out side when they start up. Ok so you spent money on your tickets, but we all did, so we should all suffer cause you just had to bring your two year old!) I understand you got kids, you love them, and you want to share the circus with them….. Then go to the afternoon showing, I mean come on it started at 8:00pm, isn’t it pass their bed time and on a school night! You know your kid wasn’t going to sit through it that long. So boo on Cirque De Soleil for not recommending there late show not be for very young kids. That was my only gripe…. But we’re all allowed to have gripes. I’m sure you read something on my review you want to gripe about. Just give it to me after you go see the show…. It will be so wonderful you’ll forget why your panties were all up in a bunch in the first place.
Oh and side note, my boyfriend even got selected from the audients to get onstage…. The clown pick pocketed him! Which made the show all that more the better for me! (Good hint, if you want to get picked out and get on stage try wearing a Tie, I think that’s what got him to stand out, guys don’t really ware ties that much anymore. And if you don’t want to get picked out of the audience try not to wear a tie that night!)
The show was amazing as usual!! Except for the tall guy that sat in front of us with his HUGE head! LOL
I would recommend everyone to see it!! This one was something since several times two of the performers actually lost balance and fell.
The only disappointment to me was that two of the acts were very similar to their show Quidam which was available 4 years ago but still amazing!!
If you go get 200 sections seats but on the south side of the theater, you will get a better view.

Amazing show; great seats especially for the price! I've seen a few Cirque shows (O, Mystere, Dralion) and this was one of my favorites. The acrobats were wonderful and the acts between the acrobatic parts were entertaining which is not always true for all Cirque shows.
The show started promptly at 8; intermission is 1/2 hour and the show ends around 10:45. We got there about 5 minutes early and there was barely any line at will call. I would recommend this show to anyone, especially someone who has never been to to Cirque du Soleil event (good representation of their shows).
There are plenty of great restaurants walking distance to the show and we saved by parking in the public lots and walking to the pier (5-10 minutes). We ate at The Yard (chef is CJ from Top Chef) which is within walking distance and delicious. I would avoid pier food!! Refreshments at the event are pretty typical but there were sandwiches/meal type food. Yummy churros too.

KOOZA is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil: It combines two circus traditions: acrobatic performance and the art of clowning. The show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendor and fragility, presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor.
KOOZA tells the story of The Innocent, a melancholy loner in search of his place in the world. The Innocent's journey brings him into contact with a panoply of comic characters such as the King, the Trickster, the Pickpocket, and the Obnoxious Tourist and his Bad Dog.
Cirque du Soleil's mission is to invoke the imagination, provoke the senses and evoke the emotions of people around the world.
