This was a circus atmosphere about a hollywood actor who was having a recurring dream that we got to see through his eyes. The dream was about hollywood refugees who kept trying out for gigs and we got to see some of them as well as other things in the actor's dream that is in the forefront of many peoples minds with everything going on in the world politically.Written on Mar 28 2011

Description
For 17 years the Fabulous Monsters Performance Group has provided audiences with spectacles featuring an eclectic mix of musicians, dancers, acrobats, and actors. Led by Artistic Director Robert A. Prior, they are masters at incorporating vivid social commentary and world myth with outrageous humor and gender-bending theatrics, often with a dreamy, spiritual accent. After a two-year absence, they are returning to the venerable Highways Performance Space where A Grimm Evening, Project: Alice, Voluptuous Madness, Queery, and Ramayana 2K2 all flourished. The Fabulous Monsters have toured nationally and received scores of awards and nominations, including five from the New York Drama Desk Awards.
Forced Vacation (Terra Incognito) is conceived & directed by Robert A. Prior and produced by Shepherd Sands. The Monster Ensemble spans half a century in age, from their early 20’s into their 70’s, and features Elizabeth Davies, Jaye Hersh, Sasha Ilford, Stephen Hues, Julie Lewis, Israel Lopez, Anthony Mankins, William Meyer, Robert Navarret, Mark Nichols, Robert Prior, Maggie Peach, and Carlita Penaherrera.
About the Ticket Supplier: Highways Performance Space
Highways Performance Space is Southern California's boldest center for new performance. Founded in 1989, Highways continues to be an important alternative cultural center in Los Angeles that encourages fierce new artists from diverse communities to develop and present innovative works.
Highways promotes the development of contemporary socially involved artists and art forms. Annually, Highways co-presents approximately 250 performances by solo dramatic artists, small theater groups, dance companies and spoken word artists; curates and exhibits approximately 12 contemporary visual art exhibits per year with work that explores the boundaries between performing and visual art forms; commissions and premieres new work by outstanding performing artists; organize special events, curate festival, offer residency and educational programs that engage community members in the arts while providing access to professionally-directed instruction.
