The Broad Stage welcomes Hiromi. A boundlessly creative composer and pianist, she's one of the top jazz stars in her native Japan. A graduate of Boston's Berklee College of Music who came onto the jazz scene with her acclaimed debut CD Another Mind, she has gone on to release Duet, a collaboration with her mentor Chick Corea, and A Place To Be, a musical exploration of her travels around the world. Called "A forceful presence on any stage" by The New York Times, Hiromi has won the Horizon Award and Swing Journal's New Star Award.
