The resulting performance will be presented to the public on Friday and Saturday. All artists will be encouraged to borrow, highlight, or react to the material being generated around them, and in addition, reflect what’s happening in the “real” world that week. Turning the insular process of dance-making on its head, this process will exist under the constraints of time and space, and will challenge the notions of authorship, originality, order, and chaos.

In her own work, Flora Wiegmann seeks new means and spaces for dance to exist. Usurping the tactics of visual artists, she attempts to broaden the platform for dance by making works on film, site-specific dances, endurance pieces, and collaborating with artists such as Alix Lambert, Margo Victor, Fritz Haeg and Andrea Zittel. Recently, she has performed in The Whitney Biennial, Alan Kaprow’s 18 Happenings in 6 Parts, and An Evening With Cinema Zero at The Kitchen, and has shown work at ArtBasel, Elizabeth Dee Gallery, LA><ART, and Sandroni Rey Gallery.

Rae Shao-Lan Blum’s recent choreography/performance work has been seen at Anatomy Riot, Beyond Baroque and at LACE in Kaprow's "18 Happenings in 6 Parts.” Recent collaborations have included visual artist Elizabeth Leister, and movement artists Simone Forti and Meg Wolfe.

Ally Voye, a UCLA World Arts and Cultures graduate, is currently making work with IN/EX Dance Project. Her choreography has been presented at the Freud Playhouse, ACDF, Jacob's Pillow, The Fowler Museum, the Victoria Reel Dance Film Festival and Dance Camera West's "No Dancing at the Mandrake."

Sarah White’s choreography and videos have been shown in New York City, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. She is excited to be working with robbinschilds on their next project slated for ’09 and is pleased along with Angel Ayón and Gerald Marks to be chosen as one of the 2008 iLAB residencies from iLAND.
