Charles Busch's cheeky mash-up of '60s beach movies and Alfred Hitchcock suspense thrillers tells the story of Chicklet, a teenage tomboy who wants to get her Gidget on by hanging ten with the cool surf crowd. Unfortunately, she's seriously hampered by a split-personality disorder, which just happens to threaten the lives of everyone on the beach. Busch is the Tony Award-nominated playwright of such hits as Vampire Lesbians of Sodom and The Tale of the Allergist's Wife.

Our Price:

Wild, bawdy and ferociously playful, Joe Orton's outrageous farce What the Butler Saw is one of the seminal works of modern comedy. When a psychiatrist tries to seduce an aspiring secretary, his botched efforts lead to comic bedlam involving his insatiable wife, a randy bellhop, a befuddled police officer and Sir Winston Churchill. Psychiatry, religion, marriage, government, definitions of gender and even language are all targets of British playwright Orton's poison pen. His sly jokes and hilarious shenanigans will have you shaking with laughter from start to finish. Learn More

Acting was exceptional....Location was comfortable and well run. Very friendly atmosphere...Chicklet and Verdeen brought back great memories of Gidget and LaRue...Kanaka and Starcat embodied Kahuna and Moondoggie. As a Gidget Fan this play brought back great memories. Kudos to the whole cast...fantastic.

The actors did ok with what they had to work with but it was pretty stupid/silly. I'm pretty easy to please but couldn't wait for it to be over.
