Colonials American Shakespeare Company bring their latest production to Miles Playhouse, performing in their signature spare theatrical style with an emphasis on Shakepeare's words. A stunning, deeply political drama, Julius Caesar follows the ruptured relationship between Caesar and Brutus, resulting in a plot by Roman senators to murder their leader to restore the Republic to the people of Rome. Soon after, a bloody coup is orchestrated by his former "friends, Romans, countrymen" Brutus and Cassius, whose actions set off a civil war at the dawn of the Roman empire. Political intrigue, betrayal and tyranny fill this master work by drama's greatest playwright. Learn More
