I've been going to Shecky's events for years now in both NYC and LA, and unfortunately this was the worst one. We've been spoiled with these heavy gift bags filled with goodies, but lately they've been moderately filled with drug store items that I will not use. I'm sure the recession has something to do with this, but they went from having totes to cheap-looking plastic bags, and my bag wasn't even half full. (And the tacky press-on nails?? Yikes!) As for the event itself, there were significantly less vendors than previously, and many of the vendors had similar-looking jewelry or clothes. So the variety was limited, but I still found a few gems.
On the bright side, I've been to many of these events, so it will take a lot more (or rather less) to keep me from coming back. Hopefully next time will be better.

Nice variety, but very small scale. What they did have was good. However the stations for make up etc should have had more people. Parking $9 almost cost more then the event ripe off.
