The weather was warm. I wore a long summer dress. Shame on people who attend the theater in jeans and shorts and T-shirts! .

The theater is only 8 rows deep so don't worry about where to sit. We sat in the front row, but our friends moved to the last row and we were both very happy with our seats!

Very enjoyable production for this 'theatre noir'. Since the cast performed so professionally, credit must go to director Valerie Rachelle. I would love to see the character of Pirelli, marvelously performed by Steven Stanford, lead to a one...continued

Description

Think you know Sweeney? Think again! Set in the 18th century, this re-envisioned production sets Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s chilling, suspenseful, heart-pounding masterpiece of murderous barber-ism and culinary crime in a whole new light… or, shall we say, dark.

Attend the tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe!
