I sent my boyfriend and his best friend to the event. They're both lovers of Whisky and Scotch. They loved it! My bf said that he tasted the best Scotch and Whisky he'd ever had that night. The food was okay, but the the drinks "reaffirmed [his] belief in God." They had the best time and "won't stop talking about the event for weeks." Great event overall. The vendors were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was acceptable but not fantastic. The band playing bagpipes was a good touch. The cigar lounge outside was excellent and they did a great job brining some old chairs with them. Mixing different whiskey with your cigar was good fun. The “Master Classes” were amazing. They had the people that actually make and design the whiskey walk you through tasting each of the product. The men leading the master class from Suntory Yamazaki and Highland Park were fantastic.Written on Oct 21 2009

Taste an incredible range of whiskies from Scotland to Kentucky to Japan, mingle with the producers and distillers, independent bottlers and brand ambassadors and meet the stars of the industry! Watch and participate in demonstrations and open discussions with the editor of Whisky Magazine. You will witness the food pairing demonstration by a world class chef, be able to get his suggestions on your personal tastes, and of course sample some very special treats!
Enjoy and gain insight from the whisky competitions and other events on the main stage hosted by Whisky Magazine. The event features an Iron Bartender Competition and entertainment by The Bushmills Irish Pipers Pipe Band along with a food and whisky pairing prepared by the Head Chef from Patina Catering.
To add to the terrific atmosphere, there will be an outside area dedicated to cigars with its own separate whisky tasting area! A special place where you can enjoy some truly delicious combinations of world class whisky and the finest cigars available.
The sheer range of whisky on show will challenge even the most determined taster; everything from old favourites to unusual finishes and rare bottlings. The very best whiskies of the world all under one roof.
